Many home visits in Birkdale to local residents, what a good job Cath Regan is doing there as the Conservative Spokesperson she is both committed and caring, always a good combination. Prior to afternoon meeting relevant to Southport Ken and I had lunch in Birkdale Village and it was lovely giving us a chance to discuss our planned family holiday later in the year. While in Birkdale Village met Phil and Maureen King, Phil from Monday will no longer be the Association Chairman. He has done a great job with his team and will miss him in that position although he remains on my Campaign Team. It is the right decision for Phil to stand down, he is so committed to what he does but it is essential he give further consideration to his support of Maureen at this time and his own needs. He will be missed but as he tells us he is not far away and very supportive of myself and the Conservatives. Many people ask me that by being so busy does it allow for Ken and I to have a family life. Yes it does I would worry if I did not have this support he is my soul mate, fully supportive of all I do and knows me so well. My children support what I do and my grandchildren ask all kinds of questions, it is good that they do and that they want to know what goes on in Southport. Terry Jones called in for a cuppa and a chat, I am lucky to have both Mark and Terry who are both committed to Ainsdale and give me full support as the Parliamentary Candidate. |
